In her quarter century of awesomeness she’s certainly achieved a lot, and earned a whole bunch of awards along the way. In December of 2014 receiving the British Style Icon Award at the British Fashion Awards (well deserved!).
As I delve further into blogging, and explore the journey of building my own brand, my voice, and ultimately becoming a ‘real’ blogger I can attest to all of the 9 lessons the book seeks to teach us. It doesn’t matter where you currently are in your life the lessons shared are meant to put you on your own individual path to happiness. Not everyone will have a rich cousin to send them around the world in search of enlightenment, but it makes for a good story, and reading this book will get you one step closer to repatriating your mind with fresh, unique, feel-good-because-I’m-awesome ideas. If you have Netflix you’ll be able to relate to this one! Sometimes you just find yourself consumed with a show. You watch one episode after another, until Netflix intervenes and asks you if you’re ok. Even Netflix is worried about you at this point, but you just keep going. Must. Catch. Up. Until finally you’ve watched all the episodes and you realize that you watched 3 seasons in 3 days. That just happened to me, and quite frankly I don’t regret it. The show that had this hold on me is The Mindy Project. If you haven’t seen it, get on it! Yes I’ve spent way more hours watching TV in a week than I should have all year, but I feel so good! I’m honestly not at all sorry that I spent countless hours watching a girl, who looks like the (fabulous) girl next door, and exudes confidence and quirky humour, motivate me for the last few days. Which brings me to the reason I wanted to write this post (Aside from the fact that this has been my life for the past week). Confidence is something many girls struggle with, and I want to give my take on it.
