As you know, I’ve been partnering up with Malu to bring you giveaways here on the blog. Throughout our collaboration I had the privilege to get to know Malu and am proud to call her a good friend.
Malu is so wonderful and kind that she created a custom pair of booties just for me! If that wasn’t enough, these babies are part on the Fall/Winter collection, and ARE NAMED AFTER ME! That’s right, the Fanny can be all yours this fall! I have to tell you that not only are these booties unique – with their cutout design, and extremely high quality – high end Italian leather, they are also comfortable and well thought out. The heel is thick enough to allow you to rock it all day long. Not only that, but the grip is superb, so I wouldn’t even hesitate to wear them in the winter (with tights). In true Malu fashion, there is of course a touch of kindness, via a gold plated “I love you” message. And I certainly am in love with these shoes!

Thank goodness for Canadian boutiques carrying British brands!
I am absolutely in love with Darling – an English brand I discovered while perusing Gather, my favorite boutique! In fact, I’m building quite the Darling collection.
This Milena Lace Tunic, is the only shift-style dress I own. I tend to gravitate towards more hourglass silhouettes, but I couldn’t walk away from this pretty cutaway detailing. The neckline, although conservative, feels very pretty and special thanks to the gorgeous and feminine lace. I got it on sale as it was part of the fall/winter lineup, which is slowly being pushed out to make way for spring, but I see a lot of spring potential! The material is lightweight so it will be perfect for a summer night. For more casual summer nights, I’d wear it with fun coloured heels or wedges, and maybe a thin belt. For fancier ones I would kick the jewelry up a notch with some classic earring, and keep the colour scheme more monochromatic with black heels to complete the look. As it is still winter, and it was a casual night out with friends, I wore this dress with black tights and the comfiest brown boots (Aldo?). Read more
Looking cute is a must, but dressing appropriately is paramount! Since Monday to Friday mornings usually consist of attempting to look adorable while pulling something from your closet with your eyes still half shut, anything to calm us down and reclaim some time in the morning is certainly welcome! I find that having an organized work wardrobe is just the ticket! You want to make sure that your pieces are interesting and reflect your personality, but versatile and can be mix-and-matched at the same time.
1. Invest in versatile dresses
Dresses that can go from season to season with the simple addition of a cardigan are a great investment since you’ll get the most use out of them. Pretty much as long as the fabric isn’t too thin and summery you’re good to go!
I’ve been loving leather details paired with mixed prints/textures, and now that winter is here it means sweater are in the mix too! What I love about this sweater is the cool puffy shoulders, the fit, and of course how cozy it is! It definitely serves double duty too because I can wear it to work paired with a pencil skirt or dress pants, and on the weekend paired with jeans/colourful skinnys and boots for a more casual look!
I used to be jealous of the girls that I thought always looked put together, because I never did look like that. For some reason to me put together meant monochromatic and safe. The wonderful thing about getting older is you realize you don’t have to look like anyone else, and the reason I never looked ‘put together’ is because I had a different style. I too like to look good (who doesn’t?) but looking good is equivalent to feeling good, and I feel good in clothes that represent me. I love colours and patterns, and mixing all things fun. I’m not whack (or at least I don’t think?) but I certainly don’t shy away from unique combos. Read more
Happy Friday guys! Here’s some outfit inspiration for the day. I wore this to a nice dinner, but I would wear it anywhere. Seems like a pretty versatile outfit to me! I love patterns and I love colours, and since my dress was 1 out of the 2 the pop of colour came in the form of colourful burgundy tights! To balance out the black and white dress paired with burgundy tights I added a mellow beige blazer and my new statement necklace
So I’m finally embracing the midi skirt. I can’t decide if it’s a fad but it’s growing on me and I get lots of compliments when i wear it. Here I am combining a textured white top with a striped midi, and since the colours are neutral I’m amping the look up with lots of jewelry.
