Today’s post is brought to you by Bluegala Fashion Blog , who created a fabulous infographic with some pretty crazy information!
We all know Michelle Obama is a beautiful woman, who sports fashion forward yet mostly affordable looks, but she does more than that. Her style choices alone have a huge impact on the economy, and on the lucky brands she chooses to wear. Check out the stats below. Enjoy!
Throughout history the first-lady has influenced fashion trends, however, none have had as much of an impact as Michelle Obama. Her clothing choices can result in stock prices for the clothing companies to rise as much as 2–3% for up to 3 weeks after she wears an outfit. Her fashion appeals to the people as she mixes more affordable brands like Gap and Target with high end pieces.
Hi lovelies! Here’s some outfit inspo for the weekend. I wore this look to the office, but I would totally wear it on the weekend too. I’ve been quite obsessed with these pants lately. I love the colour and how comfortable & fun, yet work appropriate they are at the same time. Black and white with some metallic detailing is of course very easy to pull off with an olive colour but there is plenty more to be paired with these pants! For starters any neutral looks great with olive – think beige, navy, brown, cream etc. At the same time if you consider complimentary colours you can easily pair different shades of orange with olive for a bold fall/winter look. I’m normally pretty girly but I also love to try new things! Be it new products, new foods, or a new activity I’m usually game.
Skydiving? Of course! Let’s do it!
This weekend I tried something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time – shooting! We went to a gun range in Brantford (West of Toronto… WAY WEST). A word of caution if you’re trying to book for a Saturday keep in mind that it’s the busiest day so you’ll have to book way in advance. If you’re heading down on a weeknight, which is what we did, give yourself time to battle 401 traffic. When you finally make it there, it’s going to feel like you’ve reached the end of the world, but as soon as you step inside you’ll find the guys working there to be very friendly and welcoming. I had no idea what to expect so I thought I would at least try to look the part. Here’s the look: Read more
Pretty much everything I do is simple, and as the saying goes “Necessity is the mother of invention“. What is necessary for me is to be able to have a shower in the morning and wash my hair before work but not spend a million hours straightening, or curling, or styling it, because that’s not what mornings are for.
What I’ve been trying to do is come up with simple ways to put up my hair instead of just sporting a ponytail all the time. Although my hair is dry below (it’s second day hair), I will often wash my hair and blow dry just the roots. If I then braid it, or put it up, I look put together, I don’t have to leave my house looking like I just ran out of the shower, my hair dries nice and smooth, and it takes no time at all!
The good thing about this hairstyle is you only need 1 elastic, and it will still hold marvelously! Believe me this is key for those of us with thick hair. If I can put it up and not have it come down, I’m a happy camper. You can do this quick little bun on the go or after you’ve left the house, because it’s that simple. I did mine in 30 seconds but I’m sure with a little hairspray and a few more minutes you can dress this baby up, and make yours neater than mine.
