New Jewelry Giveaway!

Welcome to another giveaway and a chance to raise awareness towards another fantastic organization, brought to you by Malu!

Every store carrying Malu products selects a charity or an organization within its community towards which Malu donates 5% of the sales. In the case of T2B, this week’s featured organization, the store supporting it is Clyde Hatch Boutique, located also in Windsor Ontario, where you can find beautiful Malu shoes and accessories.

What we aim to do with each giveaway is spread the word about an organization which helps strengthen the core of its community through the services it offers. This week we are featuring an organization called Transition to Betterness (T2B)T2B is a local community organization dedicated to providing comfort for those impacted by a life-altering illness, located in Windsor, Ontario.

T2B works alongside community partners to create comfort and compassion for cancer patients and families. They have programs within the Pediatric Oncology Satellite Unit, and work closely with Windsor Regional Hospital, Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital, and Leamington Memorial District Hospital to refurbish oncology care and patient waiting rooms, which benefit regional community members.

They throw wonderful fundraising events, and provide support and humanity when people need it most.

I will leave it up to you to browse their website and learn more about the wonderful work that they do.

Share a tidbit of what you’ve learned from your browsing and you are automatically entered to win this week’s prize.

T2B does truly fantastic things!

This week’s prize:

Building on the theme of providing comfort, sometimes wearing a beautiful saying or a word of encouragement, can make all the difference; and give you that little extra faith and confidence. That’s why we have decided to give away these beautiful hand crafted bracelets. Each bracelet is made with the highest quality leather, and a beautiful gold plated phrase of positivity. As you know, leather bracelets and studs are huge right now so you’ll be feeling and looking fabulous!! These gems come in lots of different colours and it’s up to you, the winner, to select the one that speaks to you. Another feel good factor is the fact that these are made in Colombia, under ethical working conditions, where Malu provides jobs which help support local families.

I learned that the program is supported by more than 200 volunteers who help provide the much needed bridge between the hospital and home 🙂 . Great organization and it’s nice to know that hospital patients in critical condition can still have some sources of comfort from organizations like T2B!

T2B’s focus on the Windsor-Essex County makes them such an integral part of the community. The organization’s idea to transform hospital rooms into comfortable areas is great! It creates a more homey space for people and their families, meanwhile providing the level of care required. While T2B are involved with many projects, the Green Roof Project sounds very cool! I love that they transformed the roof to a Safari themed area. It just gives people something more uplifting to look at instead of a tar roof!

I love their Paediatric Oncology Art & Music Therapy program! I often use music as therapy myself, and there is nothing more important, when experiencing a life-altering illness especially, than to connect with your own feelings and thoughts and learn to use them positively, as best you can. It is the best way to make the most of your time and situation and to feel good about yourself!
